Roaring Fork Valley Winter Experience

Many people visit Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley but few experience the hidden gems of this winter paradise.

Experience the Colorado winter in the heart of the Rockies like only a snow loving local can. We offer you what we have learned to be the best Colorado has to offer after decades of seeking out deep powder stashes and the experiences that go with them throughout the state. If you desire, our professional photographer will capture it all while you focus on soaking it in.

Fire up the aircraft! Experience skiing/riding the way it was meant to be – deep, untracked and with your closest friends! The day begins with a scenic 40-minute flight from Aspen to Telluride. We provide six runs of guided heli-skiing (avg: 10,000 – 14,000’ vertical of skiing per day), lunch, snacks, drinks, après ski, sunscreen, an avalanche beacon, avalanche airbag pack, powder skis (sorry, we do not have snowboards) and ski poles. We will have you back in Aspen for après ski! Wipe that perma-grin off your face!

Backcountry Riding/Skiing

Options, options, options! Ski/ride deep powder every day…a different way! We have all the options covered. With a lifetime of terrain and the recent advances in super lightweight touring gear, let us show you around the Elk Mountains and the numerous deep powder stashes! Don’t want to spend all that time climbing? Lift assisted backcountry access is for you! Take the lift up and ski/ride the backcountry down. Rather just rip pow down and laugh with your friends and family on the way up? Cat-skiing is the choice. Don’t worry, leave it up to us to take all the photos of you neck deep in pow!

Dunton Hot Springs Heli-Skiing

Does heli-skiing from 14,000 to 10,000 feet all day followed by soaking in luxurious hot springs sound appealing? Join us in the perfectly restored ghost town of Dunton, Colorado for an unforgettable heli-skiing experience. The helicopter will pick you and your group up from right outside your beautiful log cabin and have you in 200 square miles of pristine skiing terrain within minutes. Lunch from Dunton’s delectable kitchen will have you enjoying the powder all day long.

After taking up to six runs in the high altitude alpine basins of the beautiful San Juan Mountains, return to your own private cabin and soak in the hot springs before your group meets in the saloon for a 5-star dinner made with locally sourced food. Kick back and enjoy the evening while sharing the day’s stories and sampling Dunton’s extensive wine list. Feeling sore from all the skiing and laughter? Not to worry, you can indulge yourself in a complete spa treatment of all natural essential oils and a powerful, yet soothing massage. Don’t forget to leave time for a yoga or pilates class. Time spent heli-skiing at Dunton Hot Springs is truly a unique experience that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Private Yoga & Hot Springs Experience

At some point with all of this activity the body will need some pampering and wellness. Start the afternoon, or morning off with a private yoga class (group of 1 still counts). Tailored to how the group is feeling, transition into a massage followed by a long soak in the natural hot springs deep in the Crystal Valley surrounded by snow covered peaks. With four pools to choose from, find your spot, settle in and reminisce about recent adventures. Of course, a catered lunch is available.

Cruise up the pass to the historic town of Independence. Once a thriving mining town, now a great place to stop, warm up and enjoy a delicious locally sourced lunch. Jaw-dropping vistas in all directions, and crystal blue waterfalls along the trail, there is no shortage of photo opportunities. No experience necessary!

Dog Sledding

Zip through the Snowmass Wilderness with 8-10 Alaskan Huskies! The dogs are bred to run and that’s what they love to do. Each sled carries two adults and a small child. Sun or snow, the dogs are ready to run and give you the thrill of the open trail on their turf!

Farm to Table

Looking for a unique dining experience? Have one of our award-winning chefs prepare the night’s dinner in your accommodations. All you have to do is sit back, enjoy yourself, and look forward to the next day’s adventure!

Cross Country Ski or Sleigh Ride to a Remote Log Cabin Gourmet Dinner

If you’re looking for an authentic dining experience, this is it! Tucked deep in the Rocky Mountains, this gourmet four-course meal gives you two options for arrival: work up an appetite by challenging yourself with the cross-country ski-in (gear provided) or bundle up under warm blankets and let two magnificent draft horses do the work. Either way, you’ll enjoy amazing views en route to your lunch or dinner at the base of the spectacular Elk Mountain range. Cozy up by the fire and enjoy a winter drink in the traditional saloon before the first course begins. Enjoy the superb talents and creativity of chef Chris Keating.
